Matt and I recently went on a short camping trip outside of Bemidji Minnesota. I took a lot of pictures while we were there, the ones I am posting today are from the adventure that we took through the forest. I really love exploring and being out in nature, but unfortunately the consequence of that involves thousands of bugs and creepy frogs hopping around all over the place. Still, the hike was worth it, and while I am not totally satisfied with all of my images I am still glad I got that chance to do something like that before summer was gone and the North Dakota winter made me lose hope of ever experiencing warmth again.
Well, here are the pictures. Enjoy. Please comment and leave any sort of feedback, good or bad I don’t mind. Just not hateful.
I really enjoyed the way all of the moss looked through a macro lens. Unfortunately with the low lighting in the forest and the different distances from the lens of the moss it was really hard to capture a good shot where everything you wanted to be in focus was actually in focus. I was still able to get a few that I did like though.
I probably made this one a little bit too warm, but this was sort of a hasty post and editing process. Maybe one day I will post a better version of this picture because I do love it a lot.
So many little mushrooms growing everywhere.
The first trail we came to and didn’t spend very much time on, but the lighting was beautiful.
A close up of a tire that was helping keep a dock floating. We didn’t spend very much time by the lake that we found mainly because both of us were pretty sure that it was someones private property, so sorry but no shots of the lake.
That is everything for today. I have a lot more pictures that I took on the trip that I am still working on. Mainly some that I did when we stopped at an antique shop. I am going to try not to have such a long lapse in time between posts, like recently. I had just lost a lot of motivation for updating and wasn’t very happy with a lot of pictures I had taken upon initially going through them. After some time though they grew on me.
Thank you so much for looking, and have bright sunny day. If you are in North Dakota enjoy this weather while it is here, we all know that soon enough the land will be glazed over to an icy hellscape inimical to human feeling.
